The video shows the 'BFP 2.0' in combination with the 'City Sample Vehicle BP' which is NOT included in the BFP. But it can be integrated very easily. This will be explained in an upcoming tutorial! The landscape scenes are included as shown in the video. The map has not been optimized specifically for a racing game! The video recordings were made quickly to show the size of the map.

What's next?

With another update selected trees will be reworked and visually improved for 5.1. The flat shapes of the leaves will thus disappear completely...

At the same time, the wind animations will look drastically more realistic!

Important Note:

The 66 square kilometer map in combination with all the foliage requires an enormous amount of GPU memory!

Please note that a GPU with 16 GB is recommended!

There are also smaller maps included in the package, which do not require as much memory!

To achieve the best possible performance in 5.1 in combination with the 66 km2 map, the following GPUs are recommended:

More info about the 2.0 Update:

All assets get the extended wind system, as well as simplified autumn and winter (snow) options.

All assets get improved exposure with Lumen and improved 4K Imposters for UE4.26-5.0, which makes a significant difference!

The update for 5.1 with compatible Nanite meshes (the wind system is fully functional!) is also included in the big update and the exposure settings have been adjusted again especially for 5.1.

Nanite and WPO does not yet work perfectly on all trees, but is very convincing so far. It works for 85% of the trees. For 7 affected trees, nanite was therefore switched off for the time being.

In addition, the update will add a variety of grass plants, as well as visually high-quality grass. This will also make a huge visual difference.

The scaling values of the trees have been set to a realistic value in the procedural foliage spawner types. So the size in relation to the player character is now correct!

The bark texture can be replaced with a custom texture! This applies to all included trees! This option exists because the trees are not photo scanned.

Single Mesh Overview

The trees are not photo scanned and were generated with 3D software!

The bark texture can be replaced with a custom texture! This applies to all included trees!

There are already clouds included, but you can download more beautiful clouds HERE for free!

To achieve the same lighting conditions (images and videos), you should use the 'Volumetric Clouds'!

Volumetrics is already enabled in the project. So you can use the clouds directly on any included map!
